From the Gentleman's Quarters to Your Couch: Meet Toby.Toblerone ('Toby') is a handsome Chocolate Based Cream Brindle Smooth who is officially retiring from our breeding program. He has spent his time with us living in our 'Gentleman's Quarters'—our dedicated housing for our stud males. While this setup gave him comfort, companionship, and open access to outdoor runs, he is ready to trade the working life for a forever family.
The Radiant Truth (Full Transparency):
• The Lover: Toby is wonderful with people and a total gentleman with the ladies (he adores female dogs and is gentle with puppies!).
• The History: The multi-male environment of the Gentleman's Quarters was stressful for him. He has some battle scars from fence-fighting with other males and needs a home where he doesn't have to share his kingdom with other boys.
• The Transition: Because he is used to the indoor/outdoor freedom of the Quarters, he will need a House Training Refresher. He doesn't quite know how to 'ask' to go out yet.
Toby comes with a huge advantage: He is already comfortable in a crate.
This will be your number one tool for success! You can skip the sleepless nights of puppy crying.
• The Plan: Use his crate for sleeping and when you cannot supervise him. Combine this with belly bands (male wraps) for freedom time in the house, and he will learn the new routine quickly.
Ideal Home Requirements:
1. No Other Males: He needs to be the only King, or paired with female dogs.
2. Privacy Fencing: Essential. He cannot have visual access to neighbor dogs through a fence (no chain link).
3. Patience: Someone willing to guide him from 'Quarters Life' to 'Home Life.
