Meet Pluto, a beautiful black and tan wire-haired Miniature Dachshund from our RockinDachs family. He's currently living in Onalaska, WA, and is a perfect little gentleman. Just like his namesake, Pluto is a charming and sweet little guy with a rock-solid temperament. He's a perfect blend of playful energy and laid-back companionship. While he loves a good game, he’s also perfectly content to be your co-pilot, observing the action from the comfort of your lap.
As part of our commitment to health and transparency, we want to share a recent observation about Pluto. We’ve noticed a slight uniqueness to his gait. While this could just be his own distinctive way of walking, it's possible it could be an early sign of a luxating patella. We haven't had him seen by a vet to confirm this yet. It’s important to know that even if it is a developing luxating patella, it is not expected to affect his quality of life. Consistent, proper exercise is key to keeping the surrounding muscles strong and supportive. We are happy to discuss this further with any potential family, as we believe in providing all the information you need to make the best decision for your home.
